A Family of My Own

The newest member of my family is the woman who has completed me. She’s the love of my life and the person who filled the hole in my heart. Not to mention.. my better half. ;)

Judy and I met online through a website where singles can go to meet other singles ‘like them’. I contacted her on a whim.. determined not to find the love of my life, but to find friends in the area with whom I had things in common.

After a month or so of emailing back and forth, we decided to meet for lunch and billiards. I was still trying to make sure I didn’t get ahead of myself and ’stay friends’, but I know how much I always looked forward to her emails. I couldn’t wait to get a message from Judy! I was totally taken!

But, no… just friends. Don’t rush things. I always rush things.

But, alas… it was no use. We were hooked. Our first official ‘date’ was November 12, 2002… and from there on out, we’ve been inseparable.

I’ve never in my life felt so utterly and completely connected to another human being. So calmed by her presence. So at ease. So… home.

I proposed to Judy on January 10, 2003. Yes… it may seem quick, but to us we felt like we knew each other forever.

I’ve never been happier. :)

We may still not be able to wed legally, but we ARE married. Whether or not the law or the church says we are does not matter… in our hearts we are. And, that’s what counts.

They can take away our rights… but they can’t take away our love.

So… thank you, Judy… my wife. I dedicate this posting to you. Without you, my heart wouldn’t be whole.. my soul would not feel complete… and I wouldn’t have as many power tools in the workshop. :)

I LOVE YOU!!
Julie

(Did I happen to mention that I’m a hopeless ROMANTIC and bigtime SAP?! Well, I am … deal! ;)

    Julie,
Wildly enough, my girlfriend and I happened across your website looking for tile and dormer bathroom plans on the web. She entered your site, and here I am proud to share with you that we are also two happy, remodeling addicted women.
I am no internet junkie, but when I need info, its the first place I look. Anyhow, we thought your site was cool and wonder how in the world you have time to create and update such a site with all your remodeling work. We know how hectic and time consuming it can be as we just finished remodeling our second inves
We just thought we would drop you a line to say we thought your site was intereesting, unique, and very cool. I am thinking myself of starting a business soon and need a web designer…interested?
Keep up the hard work and represent the “family” ;)
