Batter up! Finishing the insulation

For a while, I was busy working on some freelancing, so I had been unadble to really help out in the attic. So… Judy recruited her daughter, Jeni, to help out in my absence. They ROCKED!!

I can’t believe the amount of work they got done. Between the two of them, they finished off all of the rolls of batting in the rafters. They put in a LOT of hard, hot, messy hours to get it all done. (more info below…)

Jeni, attempting to be all butch and put up insulation… in a mini skirt? Jeni REALLY LOVES her insulation! I think I’ll make her a pillow!
A look at the open rafters with the brand-spankin’ new extensions! Ain’t they purty! Filling in the gaps with the batting. It’s all coming together!
Is Judy showing her frustration with the insualtion? Oh, dear! Julie actually did some work on beginning the closet door frame.

Putting up the rolls of insulation batting isn’t really a one-person job. At least, not in an attic with a peak like ours. Jude had a difficult time with just two hands. So, she hired Jeni to help out.

Thanks, Jeni, for helping out when we needed it. Jude and I really appreciated the fact she was willing to come up and help out. Of course, there was that added incentive of getting paid, but we know the only REAL reason she helped is because we’re just so darn lovable! Right Jeni? I said, RIGHT JENI!!?

Well, I managed to get up there and sneak in some work, too. I got the frame for the closet door started (and finished, but no pics, yet). It was a big project, and one that felt GREAT to accomplish!

On to more stuff!! Gotta run for now!
Ciao!
Jules
