Message from Millie

Hello. I’m Millie. I’m in charge of this house. My pets think it’s theirs. I just humor them now and then.

Millie

This is me. I thought it would be important
so when you visit you know who’s in charge.

My pet just left for work. I think her name is Jooly, or something. I just call her my pet. She doesn’t have time to write stuff on her website to keep you all up-to-date with the remodeling, so I guess I have to do it.

Now, first things first… don’t let my pets fool you. They tell you they’re building this room for them, but I know darn well it’s mine. And that little princess, Isa, will have to bow to me to come up there, or I’ll smack her.

I’ve been watching my pets, Joody and Jooly, working up in the attic. They try hard, but hey, they’re only human. For humans, they do work hard. They are constantly running around doing something. At night, they’re both so tired that I have to sit in the window and guard the house because they can’t do it.

The past couple months they made a mess in the dining room working on little wood snowmen and mooses. I spent a lot of time sitting next to their chairs staring at them to make sure they worked.

Now, all that stuff is cleaned up and they’re finally working on my new room again. I try to get up stairs now and then to check over their work. It’s going slow, but not too bad.

They now have a little switch at the bottom of the steps to make all the lights go on upstairs. When the men left who put it in, My pets sat at the bottom of the steps giggling and flipping the little switch up and down, over and over again. Humans are so easily amused. They said something about the ‘electrickle’ being all done. I don’t know what that means, but they seem to be happy, so I guess it’s good.

I think I heard them talking about finishing the walls in the bathroom so a toilet and sink can go in this month. I think that’s my kitty box and drinking bowl, so those are important. It’s a BIG kitty box so I don’t have to squeeze into it. They need to hurry up with that. I hate sharing my box with the princess.

Last night, they had the nerve to lock me in a bedroom while they brought in big sheets of stuff. I think they called it a ‘dry wall’. (It looked dry to me, so the name fit). I tried to get out so I could supervise them, from outside, but they shut the door tight. I had to supervise from the window. I think they put the sheets on the ceiling. I’ll go up tonight to check their work. Humans think they know what they’re doing, but in reality, if I don’t keep on them, they’ll slack off.

I like the little room they built off the kitty box. They said it’s for storage. I think I’ll store that little prissy girl, Isa, in it. She’s such a girl.

They still have a long way to go on my room, but it’s much better than it was last year at this time. Now it’s warm. I can’t wait until they get it done, so I can claim it as my own. It’s so hard to find good human pets to work for you nowadays.

Please check back on the site again soon. I think my pet is planning to put up pictures of my room. I’ll be sure to sit on her lap and make her work so she gets it done.

I have to go now. Isa is sleeping on my ‘divot’ in the bed and I have to go smack her around. She keeps thinking she’s the boss. She’s wrong.

signed,
Queen Millie

PS: Please bare with my pet. She’s slow with the updates, but she works hard to feed me and she gives me ham, so she’s not all bad. Just a little slow.

Isabelle

This is Isa. I thought you should know what she
looks like, too. So you know who ISN’T in charge.
She’s such a little princess.
